Amber Borotsik is an Amiskwaciwâskahikan based creator and performer keenly interested in the intersection between contemporary dance and theatre practices. Amber has performed in both theatre (Sterling Award/Outstanding Actress in a Leading Role – Little One) and dance across Canada, the United States and in Japan.
New work is her passion and she delights in any opportunity to create (Scythe, Moon at Midnight, No Guesses Found), collaborate (Oderin as a part of the National Arts Centre’s #Danceforth) remix (CanDance/Studio 303/Mile Zero Dance/NDW REMIX Exchange) or exchange (Centre de Création O Vertigo’s Emerging Encounters International Exchange Project).
Alyson Dicey is an Edmonton based actor, writer, director, teacher and graduate of the BFA Acting class of 2012 at the University of Alberta. She is an artistic associate of Thou Art Here Theatre and a writer and performer for Girl Brain Sketch Comedy, a troupe that celebrates and promotes the strength of women. Alyson also works with Trickster Theatre delivering physical theatre residencies to schools across Alberta.
Alyson believes strongly in encouraging young women to take on leadership roles, set and achieve goals, and develop confidence in their voices and abilities. Live theatre is back, baby! Let’s celebrate our community!
