Position: EISPFA Security Services Guard
Position type: Festival Security 24/7 Coverage Staff
Compensation: $18.00/hour
Start date: June 15th, 2026
End date: July 13th, 2026
Reports to: Security Coordinator / Executive Director
Candidates must have a valid Alberta SSIA License
Overview:
This Security position is a variable hour position starting June 15th and ending July 13h, 2026.
As EISPFA Security Services Guard, you will:
- uphold our Festival Code of Conduct
- ensure the health and safety of all festival attendees
- provide hospitality to all attendees by building a welcoming, supportive, and accepting rapport with all festival-goers, volunteers, artists, staff, and community members
- calmly, verbally deescalate potentially tense and/or hostile situations
- calmly and professionally respond to any potential emergency situations
- monitor all Festival licensed areas in compliance with applicable laws
- use professional radio protocol and communication
- produce detailed reports for all incidents involving Festival Security
- work collaboratively with all Festival personnel and artists
- work collaboratively with emergency personnel, i.e. Police, Fire, EMS
The successful candidates for a EISPFA Security Services Guard position will be:

YOU MUST HAVE:
- A valid SSIA License
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Experience working in a festival environment
Preferred consideration will be given to candidates who possess:

- First Aid level “C”
- De-escalation training and experience
- PPCT (Pressure Point Control Tactics)
- Long-term experience in security and customer service
- Experience working with community members
- An awareness of and respect for Indigenous culture.
Mandatory Orientation Sessions (Choose one):
- Sunday, May 31st, 2026 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm
- Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm
