What We Do

During the Festival Season:

First of its kind in North America, StreetFest is recognized as one of the top festivals in the global street-performing circuit. Often cited as the ‘best loved’ and ‘favorite’ of the city’s festivals, StreetFest’s grassroots popularity has been fueled by the affordability and accessibility of its programming. The Edmonton International Street Performers Festival requires no ticket to join the festival fun and is available to all ages, all abilities, and all walks of life.

The Edmonton International Street Performers Festival is planned and executed each year with the organization’s two core intentions as a guide:

Vision:

To be the leading street performance festival…one that artists want to perform at, audiences want to experience, and sponsors and funders want to support.

Mission:

To contribute to the evolution of the international street performing tradition by promoting excellence; fostering the development of local, regional and international talent; and ensuring the annual festival is accessible to the whole community.

Outside of the Festival Season

StreetFest’s work isn’t just limited to July; wherever possible, we love to bring the fun to you!

The EISPF is partnered with the communities of Grand Prairie and Red Deer to bring the festival to their streets; produces Comedy Cares to share the joy with Edmonton care facilities; and offers programs to take performers and workshops to your events with StreetFest 2 U.
