StreetFest also thanks the Alberta arts and festival community including Edmonton Folk Music Festival, Events Edmonton, Fringe Theatre Adventures, The Works Visual Arts Festival, Northern Alberta Children’s Festival, Big Valley Jamboree and the Sir Winston Churchill Square Festival Group. StreetFest is a proud member of PACE, Arts Touring Alliance of Alberta, the Tourism Partnership Council and CONFAB.
StreetFest is proud to work with an international community of Street Festival presenting organizations. We especially acknowledge the Brighton Festival; Shrewsbury Festival; Edinburgh Fringe Festival; Kendal Mint Festival; World Busker Festival – Christchurch; The Garden of Unearthly Delights – Adelaide; Fira Tarrega; La Merce Arts de Carrer, Barcelona; Manchester Streets Ahead and XTRAX; Juste pour rire/Just For Laughs - Montreal; the Toronto Busker Festival; and the Waterloo Arts Festival.
The Edmonton International Street Performers Festival invites you to play an important part in one of Edmonton’s best loved festivals by becoming a sponsor in 2010.
For 10 days each July, StreetFest brings out a diverse audience of approximately 250,000 people to the heart of downtown on Sir Winston Churchill Square. Our family-friendly, alcohol-free event is without barriers, available to all ages and all walks of life. There is no general admission charged to the public to gain admittance onto the Square and all outdoor shows are performed in the “pass-the-hat” tradition, meaning that our audiences choose to make a voluntary donation to the performer’s “hat” after each show. (Edmonton audiences are known around the world for their generosity.)
A large part of StreetFest’s success is due to our gracious sponsors and donors, who have helped to make our festival a reality for the past 26 years. Play a part in our success. With your support, StreetFest will continue to build on its international reputation of presenting a world-class festival in the heart of our world-class city.
