Welcome to the 34th Annual Edmonton International Street Performers Festival
NOW WITH MORE GAZEBO!
The 2018 Edmonton International Street Performers Festival is pleased to bring you, your family and friends to Dr. Wilbert McIntyre Park – It’s the Gazebo Park. On the Southside. Where they have that other festival. NOT downtown. Google it.
Because of the LRT and various other construction projects, we are on the move for the 2018 Festival. Our dates will be Tuesday, July 10th through to Sunday, July 15th.
We thank the City of Edmonton, City Council, the Province of Alberta, Edmonton Civic Events department and the entire Old Strathcona neighbourhood for their extra, above and beyond support and amazing warm welcome. We are going to have such a great time!
The Line Up of the Worlds’ Best Street Performers are ready to go and there is no ticket required to access the Festival Site at StreetFest. It is you, the audience member, who decides the true value of the performance at the end of each show by making a contribution directly to the artists.
There are miles of smiles and eternal appreciation that goes out to our Board of Directors.
Thanks to the amazing and hardworking volunteers, coordinators and staff for the truly outstanding efforts they contribute to the Festival each year.
I’d like to thank the City of Edmonton through the Edmonton Arts Council, the Department of Canadian Heritage, and the Province of Alberta through the Alberta Foundation for the Arts for their vital ongoing support to our Festival and to all the generous businesses, sponsors and supporters.
On behalf of the world’s best artists, volunteers, board, staff, sponsors and supporters, welcome to the 34th annual Edmonton StreetFest. May the Festival be filled with laughter, smiles and sunshine and “May Your Hearts And Hats Be Full”.
As the Minister of Culture and Tourism, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone to the 34th annual Edmonton International Street Performers Festival!
Hold on to your hats because those zany street performers are back and at it again They are ready to use all the charisma, skill and nerve they have to dazzle and amaze! From fire breathing, to magic, to acrobatic hula hooping, you never quite know what you might see or what will inspire you to stop in your tracks.
Over the years, this festival has become a staple of Edmonton’s summer season and for a good reason! These artists and performers are seriously quirky and downright creative, and with such a dedicated fan base to keep them coming back, you can bet that this year’s lineup will be nothing short of absurdly extraordinary. The Government of Alberta is proud to help support this one-of-a-kind event as it continues to present Albertans with a truly unique ensemble of artists.
Thanks to all of the organizers, sponsors and volunteers for your hard work and dedication, to performers for sharing your talents and finally to the audience, for all your support.
Enjoy the festival!
Welcome to the Edmonton International Street Performers Festival!
There is something special about street festivals. They draw us into a performance on a close, human scale, allowing us to be swept away by the talent and originality of artists who love to share their passion and creativity with the world. Our government is proud to support festivals like this one, which give residents and visitors of all ages the opportunity to experience live performances that will move and entertain them.
As Minister of Canadian Heritage, I would like to congratulate the organizers, sponsors, volunteers and performers who make this vibrant fesitval possible every summer. I wish you another successful year as you bring the streets of Edmonton to life.
The Honourable Mélanie Joly
Bienvenue à l’Edmonton International Street Performers Festival!
